The Private Papers of Eastern Jewel by Maureen Lindley
I didn't really like the writing style of this and couldn't really get far before I had to give up. Everything seemed to be past-tense, but done in a way that didn't make it clear where the main character was coming from. The story wasn't really all that interesting either, and seemed typical of books in this genre.Note: I received an advanced reading copy of this from the publisher.
