The Scent of Sake by Joyce Lebra
Being a fan of literature about Japan, I really liked the idea of this book. Unfortunately, the execution was just so stiff and uninteresting, and the pace of the plot jumped around quite a bit. I just couldn't get into it, and ended up giving up after less than 20 pages.
